Space Complete for Boston Trust Walden at One Beacon Street

The elevator lobby of Boston Trust Walden, the firm's logo is on the wall to the left. Ahead are glass doors, through them the office space is visible, a reception desk and conference room with a stunning city view are visible.

Corderman & Company partnered with Boston Trust Walden Company, CBRE New England, Newmark, Margulies Perruzzi, and WB Engineers + Consultants to create a beautiful new space for the Boston Trust Walden team. The renovation consisted of 31,000 SF on the 34th floor of One Beacon Street, transforming the top floor of this Boston landmark building into a welcoming environment, filled with natural light.

The client, Boston Trust Walden, is an independent, employee-owned firm providing investment management services to institutional investors and private wealth clients. The firm has approximately $14 billion in assets under management and is known for its compelling investment philosophy, excellent track record, and decades-long leadership in ESG impact investing.

The newly constructed Boston Trust office features generously sized perimeter offices with full glass fronts in addition to a variety of workstations to accommodate the growing number of employees. The employee hub, intended to serve as the core collaboration area, contains a coffee bar, pantry, and a variety of seating options designed to encourage spontaneous collaboration and socialization. The space also includes four conference rooms of different sizes to be used for client interactions.

One of our favorite features of this new office are the breathtaking 360-degree views of Boston and the Charles River. In addition to providing access to the stunning views of the city, these windows allow sunlight to permeate throughout the entire space, providing warm, natural light to all offices and workstations.

In a press release published by the Boston Real Estate Times, Sarah Kelly, COO and general counsel at Boston Trust Walden, shares the following sentiment, “The space is transparent and welcoming and encourages people to move around and interact with one another — something we were missing before. We are thrilled with the results.”

We would like to thank all of our trade partners who made this project such a success & acknowledge the great work by our Corderman Team, which included: Peter Carr (Superintendent), Antonio Alcantar (Labor), Barrie Ferraro (Principal), Cadman Corbett (Senior Estimator), Jordan Koliss (Assistant Project Manager), Matt Santapaula (Senior Project Manager), Corderman Trucking Division, and Corderman Carpentry.
