Corderman & Company was honored to have made the list of Top 100 Charitable Contributors in Massachusetts at the Corporate Citizenship Awards this year, coming in at #81. Furthermore, the firm was recognized as a recipient of the Community Collaboration Award for Corderman’s longstanding partnership with the non-profit, Usher Syndrome Society.

The event to celebrate this year’s awardees was held at the Seaport Hotel in Boston and Hannah Corderman, the Strategy and Innovation Manager at Corderman & Company, and a Board Member for the Usher Syndrome Society, took the stage to accept the award and share more about the personal significance encapsulated by this partnership.

Hannah Corderman was diagnosed with Usher syndrome at the age of 17, when she ultimately learned that she, and her younger brother, would progressively lose their hearing and sight. Usher syndrome is the most common genetic cause of combined deafness and blindness. Following the diagnosis, the Usher Syndrome Society was founded with the intent of using storytelling through the arts, educational events, and collaboration to raise public awareness and funds for research to find treatments and a cure for Usher syndrome (USH).

In addition to the recognition of Corderman & Company’s unique partnership with the Usher Syndrome Society, the firm was also commended for their volunteer efforts and financial support for an array of non-profits and organizations throughout the city of Boston.

The evening was a special celebration of the incredible partnerships and contributions of notable companies throughout Massachusetts. Corderman & Company is honored to have received both of these awards and is exceptionally appreciative to the Boston Business Journal for their efforts to recognize, celebrate, and raise awareness for these organizations.
