222 Berkeley Street, Boston, MA

23,600 SF

Design: Visnick & Caulfield / Studios Architecture

PROJECT OVERVIEW

A prestigious international law firm enlisted Corderman & Company’s pre-construction and construction management services to build out their new office at 222 Berkeley Street in Boston. The interior fit-out, which spans 1.5 floors, includes private executive offices, multiple conference rooms, a large board room, employee café and lounge, and a newly constructed roof deck that encourages a sense of community within the firm. One of the primary project goals was to establish a progressive identity for the law firm which is grounded in its distinguished past but looks to the future.

An interior office space with a large white reception desk on the left with a wooden wall behind it. In front of the desk there is a seating area with grey chairs and a television. Windows in the back reveal a cityscape.

Unique Project Features:

  • In partnership with structural engineers, McNamara Salvia, and the building owner, Oxford Properties, Corderman & Company constructed a new 750 SF roof deck amenity that overlooks the city of Boston, including 200 Clarendon Street, the State House, and Zakim Bridge.

  • The private executive offices were designed and built to provide both functionality and flexibility to adapt to future changes in the practice of law and the firm.
