Emily is smiling at the camera, she is wearing a black, long-sleeved top. Her hair is dark brown and wavy. Behind her is a brick wall and repurposed metal doors. She works at Corderman & Company, one of Boston's leading construction firms.

Corderman & Company is pleased to announce that Emily Thornton was promoted to the role of Assistant Project Manager (APM) earlier this week.

Emily has been with Corderman for just under two years, having joined the team in early 2022. She joined Corderman in the role of Project Coordinator, where she has been pivotal in supporting a variety of administrative tasks to ensure project success. In particular, Emily has been deeply involved in the project closeout process, as well as processing submittals, tracking/procuring materials, communicating requests for information from trade partners, vendors, and design teams. Emily also served as the lead coordinator for utilizing our 360-degree scanning technology to capture job site conditions, progress, and completed jobs. Her success in the Project Coordinator role revealed that Emily would be well equipped to handle the responsibilities as an Assistant Project Manager, as expressed by Caitlin O’Brien, Director of Financial Operations at Corderman & Company and member of the Senior Management Team:

“Over the past two years in the Project Coordinator role, Emily has been vital in re-establishing our project administration and managing both project insurance and project closeout. She has shown extraordinary aptitude for organization, self-motivation, and an interest in multiple different office and field responsibilities. These characteristics embody what it means to be a part of the Corderman & Co. culture and family. The next step into the APM role will bolster her project knowledge and expose her to the dynamics of project management. I look forward to her continued success.“

The Corderman team is so excited to see Emily thrive in her new role and for her involvement on Corderman’s upcoming projects – Congrats Emily!
