Corderman & Company Recognizes World Sight Day

A man wearing a hard hat looks out past the camera, he is wearing a safety visor attachment. The helmet has the Corderman & Company logo on the front.

World Sight Day is an annual event intended to bring awareness to blindness and visual impairment and to promote the importance of eye care and safety. This year’s theme is Love Your Eyes at Work, calling on business leaders to prioritize eye health in the workplace.

This day resonates deeply with our Corderman & Company team for a few reasons. For one, it reminds us all about the importance of eye protection and wearing the proper PPE on every one of our job sites. This day also provides us with an opportunity to highlight our partnership with the Usher Syndrome Society, a non-profit dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for Usher syndrome, a rare disease that is the leading genetic cause of progressive deafness and blindness. Learn more about Corderman & Company’s partnership with this incredible non-profit here.

The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness created a campaign to spread awareness of World Sight Day and to educate the community on the importance of eye safety. Their campaign can be explored here.
