Caitlin O’Brien Earns Women in Real Estate Award

Caitlin O’Brien, Director of Finance at Corderman & Company, has earned Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Award for the outstanding leadership and expertise she has exhibited in her 7 years at the firm.

Upon joining Corderman & Company, Caitlin conducted a thorough analysis of the firm’s financial management program and developed a comprehensive action plan to streamline operations, increase accountability both internally and externally with construction projects, and completely overhaul a dated financial infrastructure that was failing to keep up with the needs of a multi-million-dollar company.

Among Caitlin’s many achievements in the last seven years at Corderman & Company, she implemented Viewpoint/Spectrum software and an ERP integration with Procore, expanded the Finance team under her directorship, and strengthened her role and skillset through the acquisition of managerial responsibilities including the oversight and collaboration with Marketing, Human Resources, Office Administration, and IT.

Perhaps most notably, as it relates to industry improvement, Caitlin reduced outstanding receivables past 30 days by 36% since joining Corderman & Company in 2017. The impact of this cannot be understated as this reduction has resulted in construction project trade partners obtaining earlier payments for their assignments.

On a personal note, Caitlin is charismatic and considerate, always easy to get along with, and an eager learner that embodies a true team player. Moreover, Caitlin is a mentor and teacher, guiding other staff in her department and playing a key role in bolstering the financial acumen of her colleagues. Corderman is very fortunate to have such an intelligent and enthusiastic team member at the firm.
