PROJECT OVERVIEW

In addition to the renovation of the firm’s current space, the award-winning full-service B2B advertising agency, PJA Advertising + Marketing, required a new expansion to its Cambridge office to accommodate the team’s increased growth. With construction taking place in an occupied space, the renovation was split into three strategic phases. A dramatic new glass cube conference room, which serves as the focal point of the creative office upon entry to the main reception area, was built in addition to a mezzanine writer’s loft, open café and pantry area, meeting rooms, brainstorming areas, double height main space, and open office areas.

A spiral staircase is in the center of an office space with a grey rug. To the left of the stairs is a bookcase and bright yellow wall with writing. To the right of the bookcase is a bright yellow wall with a superhero painting.

Unique Project Features:

  •  Serving as the focal point for the agency’s office, a new glass conference room was built in a dramatic cube shape and showcases creative graphics to reflect the firm’s bold brand identity.

  • A mezzanine writer’s loft featuring a spiral staircase takes employees to a second level with two meeting rooms, a lounge, IT room, kitchenette and individual offices.

  • Construction of a soundproof video recording studio provides PJA’s growing creative team with a space to produce videos and conduct photoshoots in-house.

  • The build-out required the construction team to create openings through load-bearing masonry walls, a task which involved significant planning and coordination.
